About the Mindsets of Parents

Posted by on 07 Feb 2005 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

The fate of the Autistic children is in the hands of their parents. During the thirty years of clinical research, I have realized that such statement is very true.

Western medicine has not yet found an effective way to treat autism. Western medicine can only provide help in the area of language and behavior training; yet the efficacy is so limited, especially for those children whose central nerve systems are damaged. Because of this, majority of parents have lost hope in the recovery of their children and they have accepted it as a fate. Nevertheless, there are still some parents who are unwillingly to accept such fate and their love to their children motivate them to continue to search for the cure no matter it is just a tiny improvement. In my thirty years of clinical practice, I have met many such parents and they are truly admirable. Their unconditional love and sacrifice to their children have given them great return eventually. Through Chinese medicine treatment, their children have recovered to a certain degree or completely for some. These results have given these parents bountiful joy and comfort.

He’s No Longer Mentally Retarded

On April 19, 2004, George’s mother was very excited to tell me that George was no longer classified as “light retardation” after the annual assessment by his school. I was so happy to hear it as well because such success was due to our joint efforts.

George was a very lovely child. He did not like to cry much since he was very small. He could play by himself for a long period of time. When he was around three year-old, he started to show some abnormal behaviors. For example, when other children came to visit his home and stayed temporarily, he would start crying and his crying was hard to stop. Sometimes he even vomited and had fever from the situation. Such behavior could not stop until the visiting child left. Then he was found that his learning ability was not as good as his peers and he could not focus his attention and did not like to participate in the activities with others. At age 5 he was diagnosed as light autism and was classified as light retardation by his school.

Another Recovered Autism Case

After Brown’s fully recovered autism case, clinical treatments for another autism case has almost completed. Recently I have expressed my opinion to George’s parents and come to conclusion that I have met their original requirements regarding the improvement to his symptoms. George’s everyday life and study have shown significant improvement. His diagnosed autistic symptoms have already disappeared and we can conclude that his autism has been fully recovered.

The treatment for George is much longer than Brown. It took one year and half (vs. four months for Brown). During this long treatment process, his conditions have gone through many ups and downs. In the first three months, his improvement was very obvious. But in the next two to three months, his improvement seemed to be stagnant. But his parents did not give up. They observed even more carefully about his changes and spent more efforts to train him. And they could still notice the improvement in many aspects. Because they really trusted my medical experience and my promise to the efficacy, they were very confident. With their persistence and cooperation, I am able to complete the recovery for this case at last.

Recovered Autism Case 1

Autism does not sound as horrible as terminal disease AIDS, but its damage to human beings cannot be ignored anymore. Autistic symptoms can happen without notice. A normal growing child suddenly behaves abnormally, or shows some physiological disability, and that is the subtle appearance of Autism. Since modern medicine today cannot provide effective treatments for autism, autistic children are almost equally considered as handicapped or partially handicapped. Therefore it brings extreme disturbance to the family and huge burden to the society.

Since 1980s, I had started clinical research on treating children with cerebral palsy and autism. Among 20 cases, all of them had showed tremendous improvement, 2 cases had achieved complete recovery. After I came to the United States, I continue my clinical studies on autism. Among many patients, Brown is an Autistic child who is now totally healed after receiving just four months of treatment. Autism being healed in a 4-month period is unheard of and unimaginable in Modern Medicine. According to Modern Medicine, brain cells cannot be reconstructed once damaged. Therefore Brown’s case of full recovery has puzzled many people and has caused disbelief with awesome shock. Nonetheless, his complete recovery is an undeniable fact. He still lives in Los Angeles and all his treatment logs are completely preserved in my clinic. I am willing to conduct a professional discussion to share it with any interested people. According to the theory of Chinese Medicine, Autism has never been considered as incurable. Therefore, it is possible and not a surprise at all that Chinese Medicine can bring improvement and even cure for Autism.
